Be part of the footprint
Being part of this school for the Livingstone Tanzania Trust has been thrilling, the students, staff, Governors, parents and community are so increadidly supportive of the work we are doing at the Sinai and Waangwaray Primary Schools.
Julian regularly attends assembleys and classes to give updates on the work we have achieved with their donations and the students all know him by name. He has been adopted into the family and he loves it!
So far the school have helped plant fruit trees, buy books and supported some construction as well. Their fundraising has been inspired.
In the summer of 2011, Nikki Morgan (Head of the Holy Trintiy Primary School), Abi Hann (Deputy Head), Tina Panners (Real Head!) and her daughter Ellie and her friend Hattie Crowdon-Armfield came out to Babati for a week and helped us build the store. We took them to see the different communities and the different women’s groups and they were truely moved by the passion and optimism and happiness of the women. So much so that when they later heard of the death of some of the piglets, Abi and Tina personally donated the loss of income from their own salary.
The school have raised a fantastic £6930.00
