Big Give Christmas Challenge 2024
Completing Two Bomas and a teachers office at Sendo Primary School
When students have to study in dark, cramped and hazardous classrooms they are never going to get the education they need to overcome poverty.
YOU CAN HELP US TO BUILD NEW CLASSROOMS
Donations are ONLY matched via the button below BETWEEN 12 noon Tuesday 3RD DECember - 12 noon on Tuesday 10th December 2024.
A Boma is a piece of land allocated for a purpose and for a school is land allocated for Education.
The Sendo community have built two classrooms and a teachers’ office on the promise that the government would complete it, but sadly they are still waiting and their enthusiasm is ebbing.
At the same time 5 classrooms have rafters slowly being eaten by termites and such is their hunger that the rafters and the roof are unsafe.
The community have asked us to support them so that their children can have a better chance of getting the education they need to overcome the poverty that they were born into.
With your support we can start this process of change.
The plan is to complete the boma and move the first two classes out of the most dangerous ones and then start to renovate those classrooms until ALL the classrooms are safe, bright and inspirational.
