“Students were not using the toilets at their schools. The major consequence of this was that students ended up dropping out of school - which seems like a crazy correlation to make, but in fact it is a case of correlation does mean causation. Not going to the loo caused widespread urinary tract infections (UTI) among the student population.  This meant being off school and needing medical care, very often medical care which could not be afforded.”
