Helping Hands - Student Sponsorship - Philipo
In January 2008 we were told about Philipo, a young boy with hearing problems who was in standard 2 having gone through all of standard 1 without his deafness being noticed. When we talked to him he was physically shaking with fear. In agreement with his mother we funded his education for the next 10 years at a special boarding school for the deaf. He was top in his class in most subjects and even became the goalkeeper for the Under 21 National Football team for the Deaf.
He has now graduated and we are thrilled to have helped him release the potential that was within him. We wait for his exam results and to learn from him what he wants to do next.
