Kiongozi coming along....

Great to see the progress at Kiongozi where we are working on converting one of 3 bomas into a classroom. A boma in this situation is the word used for a part built classroom.

Communities are told that if they build a classroom to head height them the government will finish them off, but in reality the local government applies for funding and they have to wait for central government to release the funds which can take years.

LTT recognise that momentum for change it vital and waiting years is problematic for parents whose children might have left before anything is done. This is why we step in and try to reinvigorate the community and get the job finished.

This boma has been successfully completed with thanks to our donors and has made an instant impact at the school.

We have provided some new books and a photocopier to assist both students and teachers.
