Sawe community start to build classrooms 6 & 7 at their new school

We were delighted to be awarded a grant from Scott Bader to assist the Sawe community to build classrooms 6 & 7 in time for January 2020.

As soon as we told the leaders the community consultations began and the community were mobilised. Rocks that had been delivered to the wrong side of the school were moved, the foundations marked out and dug, then built and then the bricks arrived and the the walls started going up, the floor was laid……. Amazing progress for just 4 weeks.

Participatory development creates ownership and this community certainly own their destiny.
