Sawe Primary School's Kitchen and Store are completed

We are delighted to announce the completion of the kitchen at the Sawe Primary School. For 2 years the school have been using a temporary kitchen, but no more. This completed kitchen has fuel efficient stoves to reduce the consumption of firewood and a store room to keep the firewood dry and the food safe. The cook is delighted with her new environment and welcomes the chimney which makes her environment less smokey.

The school meals programme is run and funded entirely by the community who recognise the value that a meal provides their children and its importance to ensure attendance, health, growth and improve academic performance.
