New Roof at Managhat Primary School

A leaking roof annoys the students below, but when the rafters have been attacked by termites, it frightens the students below. Fear and frustration are barriers to education so together with the community we replaced the roof. Students can now safely and comfortably learn.

The problem roof covered 3 classrooms and the head teacher’s office, so it was removed and the sheets sold within the community and the income went to wards the new roof. The builders were all local fundis. At the request of the community the roof was raised using bricks provided by the community.
