New teacher toilets at Bambay Primary School

The teachers' toilets (left) that deteriorated over Covid lockdown last year (2020) were, even before the shutdown, unacceptable as teachers toilets.

One of the things that most impacts the quality of teaching is of course the teachers themselves. Teachers who lack motivation will struggle to put their heart and soul into their job and this effects their teaching. Working is a poor environment, with low wages and a lack of resources is very challenging, but having poor toilets to boot adds just another challenge to their already challenging lives.

We at LTT love the teachers and value their efforts and believe that they ought to be provided with a safe and comfortable place to work as well as the resources they need to do their job. Having gender separated, hygienic and female friendly toilets is a necessity, not a luxury.

The teachers at Bambay are delighted that they have not been forgotten as the school develops.
