Zuhura Maksud - RIP

It breaks my heart to write this

Zu, one of our trustees, died in her sleep on the 23rd June whilst staying with her mum in Arusha. Our heart goes out to her family and her husband George. There are no words.

Zu and I spoke and laughed together nearly every week for the last 3 years.

Her analytical mind saw through so much and advised and directed LTT’s path. She asked insightful questions that came from knowing so much of what we were doing and trying to achieve so that her council could be appropriate and timely.

But she was so much more than that. She was fabulous, she was determined, she was classy, and when she laughed, I felt love and joy engulf me, like nothing bad could ever happen. She oozed strength and inspired us all to be gentle.

Zu, you will live on in our hearts and we shall always carry you with us. Rest in Peace
